Hi Everyone.

Like I've promised many times I have started looking at the possibility of go karting.

Any social events considered, I usually visit in person before confronting you with details.

Brief details - Supakart Newport
Indoor, 200cc karts, 45mph
Track includes tunnel, mix of hairpins, banked figure of eight
150 metre crossover, 7 metre wide track
Average lap time over 35 seconds.
Brief room, free parking, cafe, shower room, viewing area
Minimum height 4ft 10in, minimum age 14 years, maximum weight 18 stone

Prices:
Arrive and drive
£10 for 10 minutes, £15 for 15 minutes
£25 for 30 minutes, £30 for 40 minutes
Grand Prix
5 practice laps
4 heats of 4 laps (per driver)
5 lap semi final (all drivers qualify)
10 lap grand final
Trophies for top 3 drivers
Saturdays £35 per person, Sundays £33 per person
No group discounts or party bookings offered
Advance £15 deposit per person must be paid
Deposit non-transferable and non-refundable

However having been there I was not over-impressed by what I saw, I want you to have fun, not nod off to sleep. If anyone knows of any other karting venues let me know and I will look into it.

One place which is in the running to be looked at is definitely a company based in Cardiff woodlands called TASKFORCE wh are said to be able to cater for karting, archery and paintball at the same venue with various other sports and deals available.

The Club competition was held on Sunday 24th June. Results are on the 'Results' page.
The AGM was held after the competition. The following positions were elected:

• Secretary: Carl Difford (replacing Peter Russell)
