Welcome to the Gwent Sword Club Web Site

Gwent Sword Club currently operates at two venues in South-East Wales, with our fully trained coaches providing training to both experienced fencers and beginners through our programme of beginner courses.

Our Newport division runs on Monday nights from 19:30 till 21:30 at the Beaufort Centre, Beaufort Road, St. Julians, Newport, NP19 7UB. (link to map)

Our Caerleon division is no longer operational.  (link to map)

Our Chepstow division runs on Friday nights from 18:30 till 20:30 at Chepstow Leisure Centre, Welsh Street, Chepstow, NP16 5LX. (link to map)

All club membership is due for renewal from January 1. The costs are listed below - see Carl or Catherine for more details. Without club membership, the 'associate member' rate is payable at club sessions. Please note that all fencers should, in addition, be members of British Fencing and are responsible for ensuring their BF membership is renewed on time.

Congratulations to all those who fenced in the Welsh team foil championships, where our women's A team retained their Welsh title and there were bronze medals for the men's A and women's B teams. (for picture, please click link below)
